I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in the Greater Salt Lake area. As a therapist, my primary goal is to help my clients cultivate more joy in their lives, whatever their circumstances might be.

I work with a wide range of clients, including individuals, couples, and families. I hold a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Utah State University and received training at the Anxiety and OCD Treatment Center in Bountiful, providing intensive client treatment for anxiety and related disorders.

These are the things I emphasize in the treatment process:

• My role is to hear you, and to create a space where you know you are supported and affirmed, no matter what you have to say.

• My role is to guide you toward realizing your goals, and to help you recognize that those goals are for you alone to determine.

• My role is to equip you with the skills and self-compassion needed to find more peaceful, more effective ways to live your life.

• The treatment process is a collaboration, not a one-way conversation. No one has more expertise about your life than you do, and I believe it’s crucial to listen carefully and closely to clients in determining how we move forward with treatment.

• There is no one-size-fits all treatment plan. Every individual’s needs are unique, and that’s why I offer my clients a variety of modalities, from third-wave cognitive behavioral approaches to holistic yoga therapy.

Prior to my career as a therapist, I developed an extensive background in counseling in a range of capacities. As an Assertive Communications Instructor at Ogden/Weber Applied Technology College, I offered counseling and conducted workshops on interpersonal skills, self-esteem, and career planning for women entering the workforce. I’ve been invited to lecture on these topics as a guest speaker for various organizations and private firms including the Marriott corporation.

I also spent almost a decade as the Director of Child Nutrition Programs for the Utah State Office of Education. During my time there, the programs I oversaw focused on how nutritional health is crucial to an individual’s thriving. I integrate that experience into my practice to offer clients holistic, mind-body pathways to wellness.

Today, in addition to being an LCSW, I’m a certified yoga instructor internationally registered with Yoga Alliance RYT. My background in yoga allows me to further integrate mindfulness and mind-body approaches into my practice.

I cultivate a holistic approach to wellness in my own life, and practice daily yoga and meditation. When I’m not treating clients in my private practice or through the intensive outpatient program where I also provide treatment, I’m taking in our state’s natural beauty on family hiking trips. One of my greatest pathways to joy comes from the fulfillment I find in guiding clients toward a deeper sense of peace, purpose, and wellness.

I believe that after you choose hope, all things are possible.
